First off, you’ll want to craft a bow by using 5 Alder Wood, 2 Reeds, and 2 Slate. You can do this by looking around with your Hunter Vision and finding the required materials, wooden branches, reeds, and large rocks. Once you do that, head into your crafting menu and create the bow! You can make arrows for your bow from hardwood by going into your weapon reel, hovering over the bow, and pressing the button to craft for it. Once you have your bow, head out to the west and you should come across some goats in the area. If you hit one of them with your arrows, simply continue running after them as they run away, they will bleed to death and you can skin them afterwards. Once you’ve skinned the first one, heal up once again by using some meat that you get from the goat. Healing from now on will use meat until you can unlock a skill that gives you free healing like in the beginning sequence. Now, once you’ve killed three of them, Takkar will say that we need to find shelter for the night that will come soon. On your minimap you will find a yellow marker or area on your map that you will have to go to in order to progress the story. Go there and light the campfire that is inside, starting a fire. After the cutscene in which you find that there were Wenja here earlier, you’ll have to craft a club by going into your crafting menu and creating it. It only costs a bit of Alder Wood, which you might already have from picking it up earlier in the area, but if not there is some Alder Wood in the area around the campfire. Once you have it, go near the fire, look at it, and interact with it to light your club. Then follow the waypoint on the map by burning down some vines that are up ahead using your ignited club. You can then follow the red footprints that can be found while in hunter’s vision. Eventually you’ll come across a fire that was recently lit, search it and you’ll deduce that someone was running away from a fight in that area. Continue following the red footprints and you’ll eventually come across to a dead wolf. Search it and you’ll deduce that it was killed by a strong Wenja. After that, follow the red footprints again but this time be ready, for there will be some wolves up ahead. Eventually you’ll come across some more water, jump into it and follow the path looking for rocks with red handprints on them when viewed in hunter’s vision. As you get to the end of the river area, climb up and you’ll trigger a cutscene. You’ll find the Wenja, a girl called Sayla, thinking that you might be an enemy. A tiger will come up from behind her and attempt to attack. You will grab an ignited club and try and scare him off. Sayla will run off behind some rocks and you will do some same after the Tiger continued to advance onto Takkar. On the outside, Sayla will recognize you as a Wenja who is not from Oros, and request that you come over to a cave in which she has food. You will accept and continue on your journey with her, marking the end of the first section “Into The Land of Oros” and the beginning of the next: “The Fight for Oros Begins”,
